1. Pick your bull. If you don't know what bull will be best for your cow, we are always happy to discuss your options and situation and determine what the "resulting baby's" future will be, in order to help you pick a bull that best fits your needs.
2.Determine when you want to breed your cow. Some may want to breed their cow right away while others may want their cow to calve in a particular season. Keep in mind that she may not conceive on the first try.
3. Book your bull. Pending his availability, if you know when your cow is due to cycle, it is best to bring the bull 2-3 days before so that they may become acquainted.

Q. Why rent a bull instead of buying one?
A. You may not have the time, knowledge, environment, or capitol necessary to buy and keep a quality bull, assuming one is available.
Live Cover can be much more effective than A.I. When breeding naturally, a bull knows when is the very best time to breed a cow for maximum conception rates, and during that time, he will breed her multiple times, each time delivering approximately 10x as much semen as a "straw" would contain when you breed artificially. Also, you may have more cows to breed than one, and one or more may not "show heat". Overall, it is usually easier to rent a bull.
Q. How do I handle a bull? Is my cow set-up sufficient to contain a bull?
A. We do not keep bulls that are aggressive and difficult to handle, as we are breeding for good dispositions, among other qualities. As long as your fence is safe and secure, you will not require any "bull specific" amenities.
However, if there is an "in-heat" cow nearby, he could try to go over the fence to breed her. (In our experience, much more often the cow has climbed over the fence to visit the bull!)
It is best to let the bull in with your cow and leave him to do his job, keeping handling to a minimum. You can continue regular handling of your cow, but be aware of the bull at all times and never turn your back on him or leave children unattended with Any Bull. While we pride ourselves on the docile disposition of our bulls, any bull is unpredictable by nature and should not be trusted.
Upon delivery, we will go over handling and leading your chosen bull.
Q. Help?!
A. We are available 24/7 for emergencies, questions, and handling assistance. We want you to enjoy your bull experience as much as he will enjoy His!
